Overview
The anti-inflammatory business end of alpha-MSH, distilled to three amino acids. In cell and animal models — particularly colitis models — it damps inflammatory signalling, which is why gut-health protocols have adopted it; human trials are still to come.
Mechanism
Reduces inflammatory signalling (e.g. NF-κB pathways) and shows particular activity in gut epithelium in preclinical models.
Evidence
Consistent preclinical anti-inflammatory data, strongest in gut models; human efficacy trials haven't been run.
